Grab your magic wand — er, makeup brushes — and pack your things for a trip to Hogwarts. Colourpop Cosmetics is waiting at Platform 9 3/4 with its latest Harry Potter-themed collection, one that we’re pretty sure will sell out as quickly as you can say “Expecto Patronum!”
The new Harry Potter x Colourpop collection features products designed to reference the four houses of Hogwarts: Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff, and Ravenclaw, as well as iconic characters and moments from the wizarding world of Harry, his friends, and his teachers. The line includes the Back to Hogwarts Pressed Powder Palette ($34) with 24 shades in metallic, matte, pressed glitter, matte sparkle, and Super Shock tie-dye finishes. Potter-themed shade names include Nimbus 2000, Sorting Hat, Dementor, and Butter Beer.
If you’re looking to add a dose of magic to your lipstick drawer, The Lux Velvet Liquid Lips ($10 each) feature cute animated versions of Harry, Hermione, and Ron on the packaging and come in gorgeous hues of deep red, classic red-orange, and a neutral nude-coral color. The Lux Lip Gloss ($10) is an ultra-cushiony gloss in an icy pink shimmer that was inspired by Luna Lovegood and can be layered or worn on its own.
Into a more natural look for school days and spell casting? The Fourth Ray Lip Balms ($10 each) come in the four house colors and are scented to represent each house; Gryffindor smells like eggnog; Slytherin is mint; Ravenclaw gets a berry, basil, and vanilla blend, and marshmallow and coconut are perfect for Hufflepuff.
For eyes, Colourpop’s Graphix Ink Liners ($10 each) come in the four house shades of red, green, royal blue, and yellow and give a long-wearing finish with bright colors for holiday balls and Monday morning lectures alike. Finally, the Super Shock Highlighters ($12 each) come in tie-dye finishes for a truly spectacular illuminated finish that Professor McGonagall would approve of.
The Harry Potter x Colourpop Cosemetics collection retails from $10 to $30 (or $170 for the whole set) and launches on Colourpop.com on September 8 at 10 AM PT and at Ulta on September 11. Don’t worry — you don’t have to be blessed (or cursed) with magical powers to cast a spell with these products.
