Gabrielle Union’s Makeup-Free Glow and Braids on the Beach Is the Energy I Need in 2023 — See the Photos

I’m calling it —Gabrielle Union on vacation is the energy I want to bring into 2023.

The actor and Flawless by Gabrielle Union founder is currently soaking up the sun on a holiday vacation with her friends and family and looking s-t-u-n-n-i-n-g while doing so, obviously. She shared a few snapshots and videos to Instagram Stories, including one where she appears barefaced and with the most gorgeous braids, smiling into the camera and sending a “Cheers!” to her followers with her wine glass.

In one video, Union lounges on the beach alongside husband Dwyane Wade. She’s wearing a black swimsuit and a woven visor (gotta love that sun safety!) and her hair is styled in long braids and worn over one shoulder. Union doesn’t appear to be wearing any makeup, but that doesn’t matter, because she’s glowing so hard makeup is absolutely unnecessary. If you’ve got sunscreen, you’re good. Sunshine, ocean waves and a chilled beverage in hand … does it get better than that? No, no it sure doesn’t. 

It’s been a big year of beauty looks for Union. She hit the ground running and never let off the gas with her ever-changing lineup of hairstyles and equally gorgeous makeup and outfits to match. It’s look after look after look! (And don’t even get us started on daughter Kaavia James, who isn’t even in kindergarten but is already a style star in her own right.) The Strange World star has rocked so many looks in 2022, including chunky cornrows, a faux pixie cut, jumbo space buns and even a literal hair sculpture. The new year is on the horizon, which means more looks are too. We’re ready, Gabrielle!
