Welcome to July 2023, Capricorn. Last month, when dreamy Neptune began its retrograde, logic reigned supreme, which meant that despite the cosmic haze, your conversations flowed smoothly thanks to your rational thinking skills. But remember, you’re a human, not a computer, which means you need downtime, Capricorn. July brings several stressful transits, and if you’re going to maintain your ideal level of productivity and contentment, you must rest.
Monday, July 3, brings a full moon in your sign, Capricorn. This bright lunation is best spent chilling out with someone you love, whether a friend or romantic partner. Remember, while solitary time is valuable, practicing self-care doesn’t mean that you must be alone.
A relationship dear to your heart is currently undergoing a makeover. For some sea goats, this means you’re talking about monogamy (or ethical nonmonogamy), moving in together, or even marriage with your partner. If you’re asexual, not currently dating, or happy with your love life as is, a friend is making their way onto your best friend list (yes, you can have more than one). Sometimes, sharing feelings can be difficult for you, but when Mercury, the messenger of the gods, enters Leo and your 8th House of Sex, Death, and Transformation on Tuesday, July 11, you’re able to express your desires regarding the aforementioned relationship in a kind manner that doesn’t feel forced. Then, during the mysterious new moon in caring Cancer and your 7th House of Partnership on Monday, July 17, you two are tired of talking and ready to have fun and celebrate your love for one another.

You’ll be thankful you had any define-the-relationship talks in early July because Venus begins one of its infamous retrogrades on Saturday, July 22. Everyone loves Venus. The planet rules love, money, and beauty, after all. As a result, these three areas are impacted during its backward dance. Regarding cash flow, remember that you should not be turning to horoscopes for advice in this economy. With that in mind, any financial or romantic discussions may feel sluggish during Venus retrograde, which lasts through Sunday, September 3. Additionally, astrologers advise waiting until the planet is direct before making big changes to your appearance, such as getting plastic surgery or another permanent body modification. Unless, of course, you are scheduled for gender affirmation surgery. In that case, Venus wants you to know that your well-being is much more important than any retrograde, and you should keep and look forward to your appointment.
However, considering on the same date, Saturday, July 22, the sun enters Leo, and your 8th House of Sex, Death, and Transformation, for those Capricorns currently having sex, don’t worry too much about Venus retrograde getting in the way of romance. Just follow instructions and try to work through any critical conversations early in the month. But there’s one more retrograde you should know about.
The next day, on Sunday, July 23, a comet called Chiron, known as the “wounded healer,” goes retrograde in Aries. It goes direct at the end of the year on Tuesday, December 26. Chiron retrograde is most frequently described as a time for healing trauma, but if that sounds daunting, don’t worry. Because this backward dance takes place in your 4th House of Home and Family, the rest of 2023 is about healing any childhood wounds by turning your living space into somewhere you feel loved and safe, if it isn’t already. So, for many Capricorns, the important talks you have this month with friends or lovers could be related to moving in together or simply getting to the point where your relationship feels like home. Remember to count your blessings, Capricorn, and we’ll see you in August.
