To say Meghan Markle always looks flawless is to surprise no one. Long before she joined the royal family, the former actor and current duchess’s polished style could have easily met the requirements of royal beauty protocols. But even though her beauty looks have somehow become even more elevated since marrying a prince, she still sometimes surprises us with how literally perfect she can look. I don’t mean perfect in some casual sense — I mean actually, technically, are-we-sure-she’s-of-this-world perfect.
On November 16, the Duchess of Sussex attended the Variety Power of Women event at Los Angeles’s Mother Wolf with a bevy of other celebrities, like Billie Eilish, Margot Robbie, and Dua Lipa, all of whom looked spectacular in their own ways. Markle was a particular stand-out, though in an ensemble that oozed understated elegance. She topped off her tan, off-the-shoulder Proenza Schouler gown with an equally neutral-toned makeup look featuring a beige-pink lip and matching blush.
Her hair, however, was truly the crowning glory because it seemed to defy the laws of physics. No matter how skilled the stylist, no matter how strong the gel or hairspray, you can typically expect at least one tiny flyaway or two, a piece of frizz — something. But no matter how long I looked, I couldn’t find a single hair out of place.
