Taylor Swift’s bangs are essential to her signature aesthetic. She wears them straight, she wears them curly, she wears them in intense summer humidity. But for the Renaissance movie premiere in London, Swift decided to go (mostly) bang-less, though that doesn’t mean she’s growing them out entirely. Rather, she presented a true masterclass in how to hide your bangs in your hairstyle
Swift attended the premiere in a glittering silver gown, per the dress code, with her dark blonde hair worn in glamorous, yet undone tousled Hollywood waves. Instead of wearing her bangs across her forehead as she usually does, Swift decided it was time for a change and brushed them over to one side along with her part, tucking them precisely under the front portions of her hair. They’re still bangs, obviously, but the sideswept style gives them a sweet, retro ‘50s vibe. Whatever pins she used to secure them must have been made from steel, because the tucked-away bangs didn’t budge one bit as she posed on the red carpet. (It remains to be seen if they lasted during the movie itself, though, given that Swift is a noted and enthusiastic chair dancer.)
