We’ve all seen the jokes about thawing out Mariah Carey after Halloween to kick off the holiday season, but just because Christmas is over doesn’t mean the superstar vocalist is going into hibernation. She’s been seen out and about in Colorado both before and after the holiday looking flawlessly glamorous each time, and most recently, she was seen wearing something that was a huge hit even before 1994’s “All I Want for Christmas Is You”: her classic curls.
Carey was spotted walking around Aspen on Wednesday, December 27, and popping in to shop at Valentino and Moncler. She wore a black Chanel tracksuit covered in sparkly stars and topped off with a black vest and — just in case you thought this was a casual look — a necklace that looks like it should come with bodyguards. But as fabulous as the ‘fit looked, it was her hair that really made the look extra special, not to mention extra nostalgic.
The legendary singer did something she does only every now and then these days: She wore her hair in the voluminous curls we all fell in love with when she first hit the music scene as a solo star in the early ‘90s. The honey-colored ringlets with brighter blonde highlights cascaded over her shoulders, reaching down to her waist. She wore a cute, beige headband, but it didn’t keep a few tendrils from falling over her chic sunglasses.
