Kaia Gerber, the supermodel offspring of the iconic Cindy Crawford, has made a name for herself in a business her mother used to run. The 22-year-old is now focusing more on her first love, acting. Gerber is pleasantly open about the items she always keeps handy, from her favorite book to her skin-care essentials.
During an interview with W, Gerber was asked about her travel essentials. Of course, the book club leader says books, but she also mentions Lucas’ Papaw Ointment ($10). If you feel like you’ve heard about this beloved ointment before, that’s probably because you have. Stars including Cate Blanchett, Natalie Portman and Kate Moss extolled the virtues of this multi-tasking affordable product.
Gerber tells W she puts the ointment everywhere. She adds, “If you put it under your eyes, it makes you look like you’ve slept even when you haven’t.” A great trick to have on hand as a jet-setting celebrity or otherwise.
For her photoshoot with W, Gerber had her makeup done by Lucia Pica, using mainly Byredo products. While Gerber is most often photographed in glam makeup and upscale fashion, she says she loves being lowkey in a T-shirt, sneakers and cheap sweats, noting that at heart she’s a tomboy. However, she says her more feminine side has been heavily “influenced by the French ‘cool girls’ like Jane Birkin and Françoise Hardy.”
