Four ounces of raw crushed indigo leaves (indigofera tinctoria).
Fresh enough to use without building a reduction vat–just blend with ice water to dye silk and wool a beautiful sky blue.
Gives bright shades of turquoise, cerulean, and ice blue.
Use at 100% weight-of-fabric; one 4-ounce package will dye up to a quarter pound of wool and silk.
Grown and harvested in the USA.
NOTE: Dyeing with raw indigo leaf works with wool and silk, but not plant fibers like cotton and linen. To get blue on cotton, we recommend using indigo extract in a reduction vat.
